Enjoying a wide and varied career as a professional conductor, Darryl One has conducted a variety of orchestras encompassing a wide scope of repertoire and concert formats throughout the United States.

One is currently Music Director of the Victoria Symphony Orchestra in Texas. He has appeared as guest conductor with major orchestras such as the National Symphony, Houston Symphony, Tokyo Philharmonic, and the Teleman Orchestra of Osaka. One was also regional orchestras such as the Alabama Symphony, Omaha Symphony, Honolulu Symphony, and Syracuse Symphony.

Over his tenure, he expanded subscription doubles to triples, added a family series set of concerts, founded the Modesto Symphony Chorus, and began an annual local talent search ("Symphony Idol") for promising young musicians.
