A Program of the Saginaw Bay Symphony Orchestra
Generously underwritten by the Temple Theatre and 989Design

The Saginaw Bay Youth Orchestra provides the highest level of musical experience and education to talented young musicians in Saginaw, Bay City, Frankenmuth, Midland and the surrounding areas.

Involvement in the Saginaw Bay Youth Orchestra will:

  • advance and inspire the development of enthusiastic young musicians by providing intensive training and unparalleled performance opportunities.

  • create and maintain a professional and supportive environment in which students will achieve the highest level of artistic advancement and personal growth.

  • amaze, entertain, and educate diverse audiences with thoughtful, innovative programming.

A committee of talented local musicians and music teachers have come together to provide instruction, encouragement and inspiration to the young musicians. Students will receive 8 weeks of intensive training after which the Youth Orchestra will perform two concerts in and around the Tri-Cities.

Rehearsals are held on Sunday afternoons, beginning January 25th, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Temple Theatre, 201 N. Washington Ave. in Saginaw. Each Sunday the students will be part of sectional rehearsals and full orchestra rehearsals. A break will be given about half-way through the afternoon.
